Herly Burley Grrlie is a story of three firm friends, forged together in the belly of the big city and trauma bonded by experience. Less a story of friendship and more a tale of survival.

Clinging to the cape edge of this gaggle of Trans+ anti-heroes, we're dragged along on a rip-roaring story thread that spans an unforgettable weekend.

Humour is their joint superpower; Cackling in the face of bigotry, they revel in the tenderness of their collective Queer Joy.

In Spring 2025 I went on a residency to The Grange Projects with the initial concept drawing above. Whilst there I began refining the look of the characters; focussing on drafting sequential images and experimenting with narrative driven pages.
